Welcome to the Wordprism blog

Ilya K. Ilya K. ·

I've been watching people learn English for a few years now. Friends, colleagues, strangers on the internet. And I keep seeing the same patterns: the same mistakes, the same frustrations, the same moments where people get stuck and don't know why.

Most of the advice out there is either too obvious ("practice every day") or too vague ("immerse yourself"). Neither helps when you're staring at a pile of flashcards and your tutor session is in two hours.

Why I'm writing this

I want to write about the things I've actually noticed. The specific problems, the specific fixes. What I've seen work and what I've seen waste people's time.

Things like: why you forget words you've studied 50 times. Why speaking feels impossible even when you understand everything. Why some people break through the Intermediate level and others stay there for years.

I'll also write about tools and strategies, including Wordprism, which we're building. But this blog isn't a product page. It's a place to think about how language learning actually works.

First real post is coming soon. I want to start with the tips I keep giving to everyone around me.
